On the west coast of the peninsula are the ports of Port
Bail and Carteret with many views to attract the artist.
The
Cotentin peninsula has long, sandy beaches, mostly devoid
of modern development. The area has a balance between
marine life and agriculture, with many visually appealing
villages, towns, and landscapes.
The green and low-lying
landscape to the south forms the Parc Régional des
Marais du Cotentin.
Elizabeth lives in the small
hamlet of Vasselin (Hameau Vasselin). Her house offers a
friendly meeting point and has studio facilities for
extra tuition if required. It is located 50 minutes drive
from Cherbourg and five miles (8 Km) inland from the
coastal town of Port Bail.
